I received an email from Stephanie asking about shooting a session for their 1 year anniversary and I was beyond excited!! I’ve always done engagements and weddings but seeing a couple in love a year after their wedding day was so refreshing and exciting for me! These two are absolutely adorable and we had a blast along the Galena River and then downtown for some more photos. Mike was hilarious and I felt so bad for the two of them during the session with having to deal with the million gnats flying all around us but the photos turned out wonderful! I absolutely loved Stephanie’s idea of incorporating their wedding photo into one of the images and we recreated the pose – arm positions and all! They currently live in Des Moines , IA and had drove to Galena for the weekend to celebrate their anniversary and I was so honored they chose me to photograph their session.
